WizCommerce LLC
Privacy policy
Last updated November 1, 2026.
This policy describes how WizCommerce LLC (“we,” “us”), operating the Quilldove shop, collects, uses, and shares personal information. It applies to Quilldove pages we operate and to orders and messages you send us. It is written for customers in the United States.
Information we collect
You give it to us
- Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and shipping address.
- Commercial information: products you order, quantities, sizes, colors, SKUs, and the amounts invoiced.
- Correspondence: messages you send through the contact form or by email, including an order number if you include one.
Collected automatically
- A cart identifier is stored in the browser. The items in that cart are kept on our shop server so we can check out. We receive your name, email, and shipping address when you enter them at checkout, not when you merely add a piece to the cart.
- Our host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of a request. We use those logs to keep the site reliable and to investigate abuse.
Payments
When you pay by card, Stripe processes the payment. Stripe receives your name, email, shipping address, and the amount of the order. We receive a confirmation, the amount, and the shipping address Stripe returns to us. We do not receive or store your full card number. If card checkout is not connected, an invoice request stays in your browser until you email us.
We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, and we do not buy marketing lists.
How we use information
- To take, invoice, ship, and support orders, including returns and replacements.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To collect sales tax where the law requires it, and to keep records our accountants and tax authorities expect.
- To detect fraud, secure the site, and fix errors.
- To tell you about an order you placed, including a confirmation email to the address on the order when that mail is turned on. We do not send promotional mail unless you ask for it.
The legal bases that matter for a U.S. shop are straightforward: we use the information to perform the sale you asked for, to meet tax and accounting duties, and to run a secure store.
How we share information
We share personal information with service providers who work on our instructions:
- The company that hosts this website.
- Carriers who deliver parcels, who receive the name, address, and phone number a label needs.
- Payment processors who collect what you owe on an invoice.
- Email and bookkeeping tools we use to reply to you and to keep tax records.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our customers, our staff, and the company. If we sell or reorganize the business, customer records needed to fulfill open orders may transfer to the successor, who will be bound by this policy or one that is at least as protective.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not allow service providers to use it for their own marketing.
Cookies and local storage
The shop stores a cart identifier in the browser, and it stores “notify me” requests you submit on a product page there as well. The notify list stays on your device until you clear it. Clearing site data removes the cart identifier on that device; it does not by itself delete an order you already placed. We do not set third-party advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics pixels.
How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: at least seven years, for tax and accounting.
- Shipping records and carrier tracking references: for as long as a claim or return could still be open, and then with the order record.
- Contact messages that are not tied to an order: up to 24 months.
- Server logs: typically 90 days, unless we need a specific log to investigate abuse.
- The cart identifier and the notify-me list in your browser: until you remove them or your browser clears them. A completed order is kept with the order record above, not in the browser.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small retail operation, including HTTPS and access limits on business mail and records. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Please use a current browser and a unique email password.
Children
The shop is meant for adults buying household goods. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email orders@quilldove.com and we will delete it.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or share to opt out of. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those the law allows without an extra opt-in.
In the last 12 months we have collected, for the purposes above, these categories:
- Identifiers (name, email, address, IP address in logs).
- Commercial information (orders and correspondence about orders).
- Internet activity limited to host logs of pages requested.
We disclose those categories to the service providers listed above. We do not collect protected classifications, biometric data, or precise geolocation for this shop.
To request access, correction, or deletion, email orders@quilldove.com with the subject “California privacy request.” We will verify the request by matching your email and, for an order, details only the buyer would know. You may use an authorized agent with signed permission. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We may deny a deletion request when we need the information to complete a transaction, detect fraud, or meet a legal duty, and we will tell you when we do.
California’s Shine the Light law: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
Other state privacy laws
Residents of states with consumer privacy statutes — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others that have enacted similar laws — may email orders@quilldove.com to request access, correction, or deletion, or to appeal a denial. We will honor requests the applicable law requires. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, those opt-out rights have nothing to act on, and we will say so if you ask.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will also note it here for at least 30 days.
